An Invitation With A Lofty Direction

I have been blogging for almost ten years now and each year I pray about whether or not we continue showing up here together. I need to be sure I'm giving my time and energy to the things that matter and to the things it seems my God is calling me to. I'm not always on my A game there, but that's my heart and it's how I filter things. As far as this blog, I continue to feel the assurance to keep writing here. And I'm excited about that -- to see where we go as we keep hunting for Jesus -- the hope in our everyday!

Here's what I hope this blog will be:

  • an authentic place to pause

  • a safe haven for screw ups to lift their faces

  • a place to be able to say it like it is, but always end with Jesus

  • a habit of pushing aside the fluff to talk about what matters

  • a voice of light even when we are cloaked in darkness

  • an encouraging perspective to keep us hoping

These blogging goals seem lofty for one small online space to accomplish. Lord knows I can't bring any of this about, but it's a work God can do and I believe it's a work He wants to do here! Would you like to join me? Join in the conversation or don't, but I hope and am actively praying you find the hope of Jesus if you come!

Thanks for showing up today!
