Buffering the Graffiti

I have no problem keeping a list of wrongs or disappointments or regrets. With no effort at all, the lists seem to create themselves like graffiti on the walls of my heart. And much like the markings on stone, the graffiti of the heart is hard to scrub clean.

Keeping a list of the rights and successes and good requires more effort. But a shifting of the tracks moves us toward God and through the down pouring of His grace that buffers the graffiti off the heart walls.

As we move through today, let's catch ourselves making a list of thanks. The thankful heart is the joy-filled heart.
