All Lit Up

We adults can be kind of serious and stuffy, can't we?! All the responsibility we feel, all the pressures and deadlines and burdens we live under so easily steal the joy we were meant to live in. My boy is a constant reminder to not take myself too seriously! The expressions that roll across his face in a matter of moments is entertaining in their own right, but evidence of the life he is filled up with!

Most definitely all that life can wear a momma down and frazzle that very last nerve, but i am so glad he lives life all lit up! Whether he's chattering out some story, being randomly silly or impossibly ornery, his whole face lights up and his joy rubs off on whoever's near by.

It's not that he's something special (though I sure think he is!) -- it's just that he's a child still living as God intended for him to live. In the moment, full of joy, innocently embracing the life in front of him. We could use a little more child-like, don't you think -- in faith and life?

Let's loosen up a little today and find one thing to belly laugh about or just be silly with. Who's in?
